Do you have a shop where I can call in?
This website store is set up to give you the best possible value for money. In order to do this we need to keep our overheads to an absolute minimum which means there are no over the counter sales.
If you are visiting West Yorskshire, you are welcome to call and see us in order to view the quality of our products. We can also fit items to your van from our main depot for a small additional charge. Visits are by appointment only for safety reasons as we are a very busy manufacturing unit. What's the point of this website when I can get van stuff elsewhere?
We set up this website because we couldn't find a range of good quality products at a decent price, in fact, much of the stuff out there is pretty industrial. Our ply lining kits on the other hand are machine cut on the latest CNC computer controlled decks and the templates are scribed to 1mm by time-served joiners. This is one of the reasons why main dealers are comfortable with us.
Also, after 14 hours on the road our guys wanted to catch up in the evening or on a weekend but no one was open. This website allows you to view quality products when it suits you, the discounts are great, the service is excellent and there is a whole host of useful free information provided.
Do I need a trade account to order something?
No, just a credit or debit card and an email address (for correspondance). As the website grows we will be introducing a bonus account for regular trade customers - this will have additional offers based on the number and value of the purchases you make.
What about trade discount?
We are a trade supplier. All the prices on this website have substantial trade discounts included. Try comparing them yourself with other suppliers although you will need to make sure they are like for like products.... there is a lot of low quality stuff out there which we do not touch.
Can I order in bulk?
Yes you can. For bulk orders or contract enquiries please contact us directly here as it is more logical to do this through regular channels. We will be glad to come and visit you anywhere in the UK or Europe to discuss supply and/or supply and fit contracts for any of our products.
Can I pay by cash or cheque?
Not through this website I'm afraid. This is an online shop which offers 24/7 opening hours and the convenience of ordering from your home or office. Payments are made through a debit or credit card. Any other form of payment would add considerably to our admin costs forcing our prices up. The vast majority of customers would prefer to have the best discount possible.
Can I phone you for an order?
You can through the contact page but that's missing the point really. Everything you need to purchase a product is provided online - it's quicker, simpler and provides an email conformation of the sale for your reference. Plus we would rather spend the day chasing lower prices from suppliers and fulfilling orders than answering the phone.
What about fitting?
Fitting is NOT included for products on this website and the prices reflect this. If you are ordering several products at once or one of our van multi-packs and would prefer to have fitting included, we can arrange this in most cases through one of our professional mobile contract teams for a small additional charge. Please contact us for availability and further details.
Fitting instructions are included with our products unless the van is a special conversion, obscure or old/discontinued. In this case we will offer to fit for you (for an agreed additional charge) or provide telephone support for any fitting queries.
CAVEAT EMPTOR: It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the tools, skill and experience necessary to fit van accessories. If in any doubt please consult Gear4vans prior to making a purchase.
Please Note: We DO NOT ACCEPT returns on the basis that you (discover on receipt you) cannot fit the kit. Our products are intended for QUALIFIED TRADESMEN who have the basic skills required such as marking holes and drilling into metal.
What about the Eezyfit kits?
We have introduced Eezyfit kits to support customers who intend to fit PLY LINING kits themselves. These kits have a number of features to help you;
CNC machine cut to 1mm for a good fit everytime
Minimum number of joins (largest size of ply sheet used)
Mastic, screws and aluminium trim included in the price
Mounting holes pre-drilled to avoid damage to internals such as the loom
Telephone support from a qualified fitter if required (office hours)

What kind of guarantee can you offer me?
We have been established in the trade for over a decade and contract to many national dealerships including Renault UK and VW Audi Group. Our eCommerce function is provided by PayPal a world leader in online payments. Can you tell me more about online payments and security?
PayPal are owned by the same company as eBay, one of the world's most popular auction websites. PayPal provide the security and eCommerce for literally hundreds of thousands of online auction transactions every day. In terms of this website they offer the same financial facilities and security as eBay customers enjoy without having to become a member or pay high surcharges which is the case with most other online banks. What if I've got a query?
We are confident that you will find most answers on the website, either in this FAQ, on the technical Help page or contained in the product information. However, you can send us a question right now through a very simple online Contact Form. You do not need an email account to use this but be sure to include contact details of some form. We will get back to you as soon as we are back in the office (office hours apply).
How long does it take for delivery?
Goods will normally arrive within a week and often in a couple of days. If you need something urgently we can 'Express Deliver' goods through TNT for next day delivery (subject to stock). Having said this, please allow up to 28 days as we cannot possibly hold every specific variation of product ourselves and we are at the mercy of the weather, roads etc just like you guys. To offset any delay, we do keep items in stock for popular vans including ply lining kits which are ready to pack and ship... in fact I'm looking at a rack of them right now.
What about product warranty?
These vary from item to item as you can imagine although we only supply decent products in the first instance. Generally, manufacturers provide a 12 months warranty (subject to normal use). If the goods are obviously faulty on delivery we will replace them although it is important to understand that Gear4Vans do NOT provide the manufacturers warranty and any claim would have to be taken up with the MANUFACTURER directly. The reasons for this are many including your statutory rights and the fact that the manufacturer is better placed to assess the reported fault and reply to your complaint.
What kind of instructions come with your DIY fitting kits?
The majority of products available through this online store are intended for DIY installation by a reasonably handy tradesman. They will normally come sealed in the original manufacturers packaging including any fittiing instructions that are available to us. You should always consider your ability to complete an installation before you make a purchase as we DO NOT accept returns on the basis that you are struggling to fit the item. You should also consider the safety aspects in relation to handling awkward, and sometimes heavy, products like roof racks.

Can you do customised van outfits?
Yes of course but not through this store. We have completed many one-off fits for specilised vehicles including sealed Polypropylene linings for fluid protection, pumps and specialised equipment fits, bespoke racking systems (timber and metal), emergency lighting systems and chequerplate for pickups. Please contact us directly for pricing.
Why is there no Sat Nav devices for sale?
We are continuing to add new products all the time to the website. Satelite Navigation devices are swamping the market just now and there are so many people trying to sell them - from supermarkets to Sunday morning market stalls - that we don't feel we can be competitive. Our emphasis is on giving you quality products with good discounts.
Can I buy from outside the UK?
Yes you can, however, it might be best if you contact us here initially to check on delivery costs and options. Our ply lining kits and most fittings are based on right-hand drive UK specification vans (although many are generic) so please be aware of this when ordering.
